Rhino lining for work boots

My job wrecks a pair of boots pretty quickly, as I have said in some places before.

As goofy as it might sound, I wondered if it's possible to get a pair of work boots coated with Rhino Lining, or some similar product.

And would it be enough to make them chemical resistant?

I don't know if it would "stick" to the boot. Generally, you apply it to scuffed surface metal. It would also make the boot totally unbreathable which if your boots are rubber already is not big deal. You could try an chemically resistent overboot that you pull on over your own boot. Some companies offer rubber or PVC for depending on what chemicals you are exposed to.

My brother used to spray Line-X (which he objectively says is far superior to Rhino) and with overspray his boots did become Line-X'd. It sticks for sure, and guys Line-X anything you can imagine. They would Line-X cinder blocks and drop them from a ladder to show the cohesiveness, and spray Styrofoam blocks to show that you could and not melt it and the Styrofoam box would be much stronger. I bet if you prep your boots so they don't have to they might just do it for free. I will talk to him about how it would perform, and see what he thinks in general.

I used to skateboard when I was a kid, and I would always skid my right toe/shoe on the ground. It would slow me down like a break, but wore my shoe out fast. I tried some things like duct tape and different things, but the one that really worked the best is called "Shoe goo." its almost like a solid piece of rubber when it sets up. It looks like you can still get the stuff, maybe its worth a try.

My step-father has used a product on the toes of his worn-out Redwings. Smells like nail polish, sets up like bedliner. I don't remember what the stuff was called, but I imagine your local Boote Shoppe will be familiar with it.

This is different than the stuff I've seen, but it looks to be similar in principle.
