Hello,

So i recently got trc apocalypse, and one interesting thing struck me , that the way micarta scales are attached to the body, what i would say look like some sort of pipe/tubing, of which ends were widened, and thats how it stays in place ?
There is no seam anywhere visible, it literally is in my opinion piece of tube ¿

So if i wanted to do this myself on my custom knife, would i just go and get some tubing, get the right drillbits, figure out something to press outward the tube with n thats it ?

Really seems like the best way to attach scales to me, no moving parts and gets locked in place by literally bending out the tubing.

However if i am missing something i would like advice, and also if this method i described here actually has some name i would like to know

Or, you could drill a hole and then put brass rod through it and hammer the ends. Or, you could use screws!

Flaring a tube to rivet the handle on is a popular method on survival knifes. It is strong, light, and may allow the handle to be tied to a stick to make a spear.

Don't forget the epoxy.... For bonding, and to keep moisture out
