I have gone through 2 cheap wheeled briefcases in 6 months. I'm done with that game. Please advise me on what you well seasoned road warriors are using. Price is not an issue. I want something that will last.

Thanks

I have a Zero Halliburton aluminum briefcase 5" Premier model, I've had it for about 15 years and love it, it's built like a tank, someday destined to be a family heirloom.

While mine is not a wheeled model, they do make them, and if I was to buy a wheeled case, Zero Halliburton would be my first choice:

I have had a Victorinox Werks Traveler 2.0 Wheeled Briefcase for several months now. I finally gave into wheels and this has proven to be a very good bag for me. It has lots of space, good wheels with a handle that rotates for a different grip. The nylon that it is made of is tough. Probably not as tough as the metal Halliburton, but it is also comes with flexibility. It should be one of the bags you should check out to see if works for you. Being on the road is really an individual thing, we all have likes and dislikes what makes us comfortable, and we all pack differently. So you might want to take a peak at it.

Quality costs, and it gets heavy too. :p

Tumi and Halliburton-Zero are different solutions to the same problem. I tire of a hard bag like the Haliburton-Zero's. They are heavy and stiff.

I find the TravelPro Platinum offer a good blend of features, build quality, durability, and weight.

Tumi does make some amazing luggage. I used to scoff at the price until I owned one. They look better, work better, and last longer than other companies' luggage. If you look at the placement, number, and sizes of the pockets and compartments, you realize how well thought out they are.

At retail, they are super expensive, but they do have outlets, so see if there is one near you. I actually picked up mine at a TJ Maxx on clearance for about 80% off, which was nice. :)
