I just bought a pocket knife from my nephew that says robert klaas germany on the blade. It has a clip, spey and an awl.Can anyone tell me who robert klaas is?

If you Google Robert Klaas, you will find a wealth of information, A Solingen Cutler, manufactured ww2 blades-as did many other Solingen Germany Companies.
Here is just one example of the Robert Klaas marking in this link...click onto it, and scroll down to the near very bottom..this marking is on a Hitler Youth knife...but there has been slight variations to the markings.

i believe klaas is the same name associated with kissing crane knives. they have been in business many years & were chosen to make the 1st knife for the defunct national knife collectors club way back in the 70s. i think the company split into separate entities recently. dennis
