Good custormer support:

I've been using Rockport walking shoes for uniform wear for a number of years. They fit my bunion-y feet pretty well, and they've proven to be durable. The last pair I bought had a sort of air-cushion sole (Pro Walker) that had two air chambers. I guess the air is supposed to squish back and forth as your foot moves.
Anyway, one started making a nasty popping noise, and I discovered that the air chamber had collapsed for some reason. The shoes were about nine months old.
I sent Rockport an e-mail, more to alert them to a possible design flaw than anything else. They instructed me to send the shoes to their support guys, and in about two weeks I had a new pair of shoes!

Not bad in an era of "so what?" customer support.

I have a pair of these also. Very comfortable. Nice to know that they have good customer support. Mine are all beat to heck though and have been turned into my designated yard-work shoes. They're green now instead of white...:D I'll just buy a new pair when I have to pitch these.

Outstanding to hear. Great customer service is a reason I frequent great companies. Though I haven't had the need to use their warranty, this lets me know they are as good as I'd hoped.

I have been a Rockport fan for many, many years. Currently, I have something like eight pairs of their shoes (including two pair, in different colors, of the walking shoes you're likely referencing).

My feet love their shoes!!! :)

I love Rockport shoes. They are really comfortable for something that is a dress shoe. My shoestore guy recently put my in redwing dress shoes, because my feet are so wide (and I'm so heavy) and they seem to have good support and wear well.

They aren't as comfortable as the Rockports though!
