Thought I’d share a couple knives given to me by my father as well as see if there was any background on Ted Moore. My dad commissioned both in Spokane in the late 70’s. The Chappel knife has cocobolo wood. My father told me that Rod was sanding without a mask and the wood made him fairly sick from breathing the dust. The knife by Ted Moore was made shortly before Ted passed away. Outside of that, I don’t know much about Mr. Moore. Both knives were used for hunting and processing meat when I was a kid. I’ve thought about having them cleaned up and restored as much as possible, but wasn’t sure where to send them. Anyone have any recommendations on who would be good and restoring these? Or should they be left as is? Also, I wanted to share the original Davis Knives pamphlet and price sheet. Pretty interesting.

Personally, I think the only person to "restore" a knife is the original maker. Obviously not possible in this case, so I vote to leave them as is.
