I am considering getting another grinder and making in semi portable. I want to be able to roll it into my driveway when the weather is nice or when I am grinding handle material to cut down on the toxic dust in my garage. Does anyone have a kmg or similiar size grinder on a cart that is sturdy enough to grind on but moveable?

I just put an HTC-2000 mobile base under my grinder bench this week. I have not used it yet, but it seems plenty sturdy to me (I don't lean into my platen with all of my body weight though.) I set it up so that the wheels that are always down are 90 degrees to the platen, if that makes sense.

I have not done this but If I did I would use a stand that would set flat on the ground when is use and not on the wheels, some tilt to move on the wheels and some have retractable wheels. I like the idea of less dust, I have dust control but still get some floating arround, I am planning on adding another blower to increase the capture.

I have mine setup like a dolly. When I want to move it I pull it back onto the wheels and when I get it where I want it I set it back down flat. This makes it easy to move but very solid when its in use.
