I've been looking at autos and OTF's lately. And that 9600BK Rukus II Auto looks pretty sick. The handle looks to have great ergos. I'm thinking of picking one up and seeing how it compares to my Protech TR4.

So what's the consensus on this one?

It's a great auto, IMO. I was hunting for an automatic and considered the ProTech 3 and 4 as well as some others.

I went w/ this older version that uses 154CM instead of S30V ( I actually prefer 154CM) and has slightly different milling on the AL slabs than the Ruckus ll. Same build as the venerable AFO ll..adjustable stop pin, strong, simple construction and BM warranty/CS to back it. It isn't the most pocket friendly...big, heavy, wide...But I carried a 615 for years...another favorite.

My next auto will be a Mini Reflex, I think that is the sweet spot for size and ergos for a practical EDC auto. And I trust the build and BM CS/warranty.

I don't think you can go wrong w/ the Ruckus II, If you done mind big and bulky..makes a great sheath/pack knife.

Let us know what you end up w/.

That's a great pic. I've pretty much made up my mind. The Rukus II just looks too good to pass up.

Thanks

It's a great knife. Would love to see it in M4 or M390. I say that about almost every knife, though.
Haha , I'm a big fan of M390 too. And I'm not usually fond of coated blades but the black blade on the Rukus II just works. I ordered mine last night. Should have it Tues or Wed. With plenty of pics to follow.

My second Rukus II arrived today and it's just as perfect as my first. Excellent build quality and superb auto action that is strong , fast and secure. Love this knife.
