Anyone have any experiance with these or know of a review online.

They were $199 at a gun show I recently attended. I dont remember the manufacturor but I'm pretty sure they weren't Norinco. Might be wrong.

They're made by Baikal. They've been written up pretty favourably by a lot of the Old West Firearms rags...

If you want, try doing a search over at www.thefiringline.org in the Shotgun section. Lotta folks over there that do reviews for the mags professionally, and they'll chip in their wisdom on the boards, too!

Thanks,

They seem to be a bargain for the price. Might have to get one for myself.

I just remembered...if this is the right one, you can get a barrel insert for it to turn it into a (stubby) double-rifle in .45-70!! Make a heckuva bear gun, with one of those and a slug in the other side!

:D

Now that would be nice. Wouldn't be very sporting though. I use this for bear.

Dude...I wanna come hunt with YOU!!! I've often pondered upon taking one of Larry Harley's "Poke a Porker" Hawg Hunts. I just don't know if I have the cajones to go after a Javelina with a spear or a knife, though. I've had a couple of friends torn up something fierce by Peccary, and those wounds are UGLY!

I gotta imagine that bear-hunting with a spear would get the adrenaline pumping, too!

:D

If you go hunting bear, or wild boar, or any other animal that might turn the tables on you, just remember one thing.
You dont have to outrun the animal your hunting. You just have to outrun your freind(s).

My Dad has one of these Russian Guns and I'd have to say that it is GREAT!!!!!

He bought it for Cowboy Action SHooting and has done well with it and he and I have both used it for trap shooting and it is suprisingly well suited for this as well.

I wouldn't hesitate to reccomend one (nor would my Dad).

I have the stoeger coach gun, i use it for trap, its a nice little gun. I got mine in 20 guage though, and want to step up to 12 now.

My Dad and I handled both (though neither of us had the opportunity to fire the Stoeger). He was originally planning on getting the Stoeger, but once he compared them side-by-side (no pun intended) he thought the EAA was the clear winner and he has been very happy with his choice.

Thanks for the heads up guys!!!

I'll go ahead and pick one up then. I dont see how you can go wrong for $199. I was reading one website where a fellow had the cocking hammers turned into real functional hammers. The ones one the Baikal are just used to cock the gun.Still look cool. I think I will take of the blueing and use some plum brown on it. Might even replace the wood with some curly maple and do some brass tacks and rawhide. Sounds like a fun winter project.
