Funny ! But Spetsnaz were no joke with their combat skills , including blades .

Finally , it all makes sense . Lynn Thompson is deep undercover Spetsnaz !

There is no jungle in Russia. Why a machete? For cutting branches using a shovel.
There's one in my truck. As a precaution.

I wonder how that machete holds up with that blade attachment to the handle.
Would be interesting to have a long term test/review.

As for shovels, I got a titanium shovel from Moscow.
Quite like it and often use it.
Low weight and packs well on/in a ruck.

To conduct operations in foreign nations that do have jungles .

Yes, the Russian Spetznas machete is better designed for cutting wood or use as a shovel.

Places where the plants are mainly woods often have these shorter thicker chopper type machetes. Places with more jungle and grassy type plants often use the thinner types of machetes.

[QUOTE = "BladeScout, post: 18253198, member: 271808"] интересно, как этот мачете держится с этим прикреплением лезвия к ручке.
Было бы интересно иметь долгосрочный тест / обзор.

Что касается лопат, то я получил из Москвы титановую лопату.
Довольно нравится и часто его использовать.
Низкий вес и пакеты хорошо on / in a ruck.

The shovel must be heavy to cut branches and heads. Where did you see the titanium axe? Only steel.

Unlike the Spetsnaz combat spatula, the thing I truly missed out on was all the great deals on titanium kit after the fall of the Soviet Union. Man, there was some good stuff for cheap--that shovel is awesome.
