I just purchased a para 3 over in the exchange. I'm looking forward to it arriving. I don't need really big knives anymore, as long as I can clean some trout I'm good don't hunt much anymore due to time and things.
The sage 5 has always interested me and now with the lightweight it is much more affordable . Just looking for thoughts on this one. I am seriously considering a chapperal as well. I bought a manix 2 and while it is without question one of the best if not the best there is all around knife I've ever owned. Just where I use a knife I don't need a larger knife.

The Sage 5 LW gives you slightly more cutting edge and slightly less handle length than the G10 Para 3. Both feel good in hand to me, although the Sage 5 has a thinner grip. I enjoy using both, but if you asked me to pick one, I would choose the Sage 5 as it has a more similar profile to the Manix 2, which I also like.
