SAK scissors or saw?

Just a quick polling of opinions:

Do you prefer having a scissors or woodsaw on your EDC SAK? Neither? What would be your next important tool aside from the blade?

Since I rarely spend time outdoors nowadays, it'll have to be scissors, though I can see how a saw would be better outdoors - a recent Survivorman marathon convinced me of that :)

My edc has been a Vic Compact (blade, scissors and some small other things) for a while and it's been of great use, but today I've replaced it with my good old Handyman (ten years of service, my brother gave it to me when I was 18). Although I know that carrying a woodsaw (and many other tools) in the city (especially here in Rome) is kind of useless, I feel better with it than without it. So, yes, I agree with you, if I really had to choose, I'd pick the scissors. But since I carry a Handyman, I luckily don't have to choose. ;) On the other hand, if I had to go hiking, I would pick a Spirit PLUS. Again, you see, I really avoid choosing between tools. :D

If it was a choice of just one SAK by itself with either saw or scissors (to be carried in an urban evironment) then i would go with scissors over saw.
Personally i always have a Leatherman Micra on a keychain or around my neck so i already have scissors, plus i pocket-carry a SAK, right now a OH Trekker or alox Farmer (both have a saw).
For me the most used SAK implements are 1.Blade 2.Bottleopener/Canopener or Combo Bottle/canopener (like on the vic waiter) 3.Scissors 4.Saw.
For me every other SAK/multitool implement only gets occassional use.

If i was forced to carry one knife only i'd probably just carry a Vic Huntsman or get a Vic Outrider (both have scissors and a saw).

I suppose I'll be the rogue and say: saw. I'm extremely happy with my camper, and I'd rather have the saw for when I need it out camping and using the pen blade for precise cuts.

If I carry my classic or Swiss Card, then I've got scissors. On my SAK's- my Spartan or Standard Issue I have neither, and don't usually feel left out. I make sure to have a wood saw in the woods. If I decide to carry I oen of my woodsknife with me, then I'v got a saw.

I'd have to choose the scissors but fortunately I EDC an Electrician Plus in my pocket and a Classic on my keychain, just for the scissors.

Both! :D

If I didn't have that, I would have to say scissors for me.

I chose scissors over the saw. I carry a Climber. It seems to be a lot less popular than the saw-equipped Camper. I don't know why. In my opinion, it is one of the best packages available.

BTW, I teach JHS, and my students noticed the outline of my Climber in my pocket. Since then, I've been carrying it in a concealex sheath around my neck. Only my wife notices.

If I could only choose one...

scissors for the city and
saw for the outdoors.

But I always have both!

I chose scissors because i wouldnt like to do camp duties with a sak saw. I bring my own saw when i need a saw. Now if i was going into the woods i would choose a saw because i can cut everything in the woods that i need with a knife. around in the city or house scissors suite me best. When i go out into the woods i bring my swisstool anyways.
