The SAR 4 is a confluence of key features and attributes that make for the ultimate Search & Rescue Knife. Although very Busse Old School in initial appearance, the SAR 4 has a number of design features that set it far apart from its ancestors.

We pushed the blade length on this model as far as we could in order to keep it in the 4" blade length designation. The blade is 4 7/8" long. We went with a full-height convex grind and a thickness of .220" in order to give it great cutting geometry and strength for its anticipated mission.

We melted down the exterior edges on this model in order to assist in chisel cutting and spine whacking. The rounded edges will not tear up the branch or stick that you are pounding with like a more traditional squared-off style corner.

The thumb notches greatly assist in blade control while the "belly free" handle design make this model flow easily in the hand when chopping.

More pics to come later. . . . once Skunk sobers up and starts clicking!!!

The SAR 4 is one of the coolest designs to ever come out of Busse Combat Shop!

Once you hold this bad boy in your hand you will never want to put it down!!!

Well it looks like I have found the 3rd to add to the collection within the first month of finally getting my first one..... Is there something in that handle that seeps into the brain? Whatever it is I like it!

Sweet! I see that you straightened that janitor out! I really like that design. Kudos on keeping the choil small on a knife that size. Me likie.

What was with the picture switcharoo. Did the janitor post the first one and you fixed it?

Second picture??? That means I missed the first... D'oh!

I really like that a lot. Looks a perfect compliment to carry with all my larger blades. Just what I've been waiting for for ages!

And here's me with no job and no money - :(

Wonder if I could sell a kidney, or my wife's cat...

Crap... Now I'm seein' double!! ...But, soooooweet!!! :D:thumbup::thumbup:

Now, I'm totally destroyed, I'm staying up third night on the bloody weekend just so i can come up with extra $$$ for HG55, and then I see this. It took me longest time to decide that I want HG55 more then the Outlaws, and now I'm back to square one...why did i come back here?!?!?

Oh well lets wait and see till more info is out.
