Anyone know of where to order, or own one of these? I've wanted one for a long time and they would seem to be perfect for a three season shell. Thanks.

I remember looking for some on this side of the pond a year or two ago to no avail. But things do change! I hope someone finds a source.

Check out Special Air Sea Services. They are in the UK. But I think they build the best ones out there. I have a Kit carry smock w/padded elbows. It has tons of the right pockets.

Check your local army surplus store, they may have some. If your a bigger guy you will be looking for a long time as the bigger sizes are almost impossible to find. Im 6'4" and it took me almost 3 years to find one that fit. I do agree they are great jackets.

I'd be willing to redirect stuff across the pond for you guys. I had a look on the bay and there's a few here in the UK for quite cheap prices.

I use a pre combat 95 style of windproof and it's great. It is really light and dries very fast compared to the new ones. It isn't as rip or tear proof but that's the price you pay I suppose.

I bought mine on EbayUK. Keep an eye on shipping, some places "across the pond" absolutely gouge you on shipping rates.

I own one that I got from them (a gift, used) in the first half of the 1980s, it is (or was) a nice shell but if I were shopping I would look for civilian stuff.

I don't know if they still do, but back then they had a large pouch sewn inside the lower back area.
