Cool old time Japanese film. I didnt see a Spyderco Yojimbo Knife in the movie though. hehehe. So I guess the Knife got its name from a Japanese body guard? Neat!

Last Man standing is a direct descendant too. As well as the Magnificent Seven being based on the Seven Samurai. Kurosawa inspired a few western greats. He really was ahead of his time. Yojimbo is actually my favorite version of that storyline. Check out Sanjuro too, it is pretty much the sequel to Yojimbo.

Ah, Zatoichi is amazing stuff. Actually a lot of Jidaigeki and Chambara films probably would appeal to cutlery enthusiasts, given the connections...
