Say Hi to the new guy!

So today in the shop Todd and I tried something new kydex wrapped in leather tell us what you think this is just the first one to see how it goes not bad for first attempt. he

I think it's a fantastic idea. Kydex is fugly imo, and leather can lose retention over time. I'll go for leather every time if I have the choice but I'm sure a lot of people would really dig the hybrid sheath.

hybrids are good -- there used to be a sheath maker who did a lot of them on that other forum, but he's been MIA for several years.
it's a great way to add retention or to use otherwise non-durable but pretty materials without making the heath too bulky, especially on a smaller knife.
for example - snake over kydex with 2-3 oz decorative embossed leather for the edges.

Murphy I'm sure could show you a picture of one of my first hybrid sheaths. Not easy to figure out.

Good job though 👍

Yes I have it. It was one of the reason I thought I could do the same with practice.
