My brother bought a knife online from live link removed by staff
The knife looks great although it took a while to come, but the first thing I noticed about the package was that the box is different than other benchmade boxes and it doesn't have the foam insert with the little bag they come with. The website looks real enough but I know some people will do just about anything for your money. Is this a legit website or did he get scammed?

How do they not get in trouble with the real Benchmade company?
I had seen the website in the past and wondered if maybe that’s where they sell factory seconds or returns but after a closer look it’s obvious they’re a scam. It’s a shame for sure.

They're in China. Nothing Benchmade can do.

One way to deprive the scammers of business- Ask Bladeforums if a vendor is legit BEFORE buying a knife. Instead of buying a knife, and then asking Bladeforums if it's a fake.

Just some friendly advice. Live and learn :) .

Really the only way the scams work is because people want to believe in the deal that's too good to be true despite all of the warning signs that make it clear that it's not.

Excellent advice. You can also go to the Benchmade web site and look up authorized dealers.

Yeah I told him not to even bother with contacting the company and file a claim with the bank. I think he’s in the process of that now
