No model number.
2 blade Barehead Jack, Spear & Pen blades open from same end.
Schrade/Cut Co/Walden NY on both tangs.
Blades are carbon steel.
Bolsters and liners are steel.
Walnut covers.
3 3/8 inches closed.
There was a bail at one time, but was missing when I obtained the knife.

AAPK does not show this knife in the "Open Stock" listings or the year listings.

Any idea what model it could be?

Your knife is shown in perfect detail, cut and text in one or more of the first eight catalogs here. The Schrade CutCo ownership of the brand from 1904 through 1946 did not have model numbers stamped on the tangs of the blades. If we had your knife images here I could look it up, but you will want to do that yourself anyway. http://www.collectors-of-schrades-r.us/Catalogs/index.htm

Thank you, tongueriver tongueriver !
I found it in the 1926 catalog, listed as a number 2151 Chain. :)
It is not in any of the supplements, and not in the 1940 catelog. (1940 only has the bone handled number 2153 chain version.)

Since it is not in the 1940 catalog or the supplements leading up to 1940, does that mean Schrade stopped making the wood handled version sometime between 1926 and 1940?

I don't know for sure, but I am guessing that the additions are exactly that, and do not mean that anything has been 'subtracted' from their offerings. However, tastes changed over 40 years, so..... ???? The company itself and pretty much all of its offerings basically did not survive the war years. When the Baer family picked it up in (December of?) 1946 (to be "Schrade Walden") they were slow to increase patterns for sale and they never did offer anywhere near what the parent company offered (maybe a couple percent of the patterns). It is always nice to see an image (hint hint).
