i have recently seen a listing for a "Schrade IXL Wostenholm 3 blade camp/scout mint knife". i do not see such a knife in the sticky and it does not "look right".
does anyone know of recent productions with this stamping ? roland

i have seen (and did own) Parker knives marked IXL Wostenholm (Japan) but did he also have produced knives marked Schrade IXL Wostenholm ? roland

Roland, Cannot link to live auction, although the knife you mentioned after a little search seems to be marked with Joseph Rodgers of Sheffield UK markings. I can just about make it out in the picture, Joseph Rodgers knives are still made in the UK under the Egginton Group, they also make knives using the IXL Wostenholm name, which they now own, previous to this Wostenholm owned the Rodgers name, In turn as Schrade had ties with IXL Wostenholm in the early eighties then this maybe when the knife was made, see links with other info. The knife is very simlilar to an Imperial Kamp King.

I'm holding a IXL copperhead in my hand right now. Wostenholm and Japan marked on the large blade. I just bought this a few weeks ago.

right, there's a lot of IXL Wostenholms (Japan) around right now, courtesy of Mr. Parker. what i am asking about is "Schrade IXL Wostenholm": are there repros with this marking as well ?
Rusty, right we don't link live, and i hope this discussion is o.k. pics of knife i am asking about don't show detail, so it may not say "Schrade" at all.
i have "met" at least 1 seller who just added "Schrade" in description of any IXL. also i cannot see a hallmark. IMHO i don't think knife in question has anything to do with pre '04 Schrade. roland

Roland, I have never seen any repro Schrade IXL knives, that's not to say they do not exist, although I do not think so. The knife you mentioned above is only associated with Schrade because of the Schrade/Rodgers/Wostenholm realationship of the early 80's. you can just make out the company logo and the name Rodgers on the tang.
