I have finally purchased a very nice camera so I can now start downloading pictures of my Schrades. I am going to start with some of my son's favorites. He loves the red handled Schrade X-timer. Thanks, Jamie.

This picture should be better. Does anyone know anything about the red handled x-timer. I had read somewhere that it was being made to be sold at Sears.

Thanks, I believe the only Schrades I had seen at Sears here in N.C. before Schrade closed was some of the Badger series. Most of the Sears stores here do not have much of a knife display if any at all.

I believe Sears has pretty well quit selling knives altogether. Their tool catalog lists one case slippie, and the stores stock some sort of folding utility knife, but that is all here.

mountaineergoldnblue, seeing as how u are close to me(i reside in sc), have u noticed less knife displays in your local lowes too? i was in lowes the other day and all i seen was one style of case in a clampack, and several sheffield razor knives. do ya'll have the same issues in nc?? here it seems like lowes is depleting their stock of knives, and sears has absolutely none.

Fireman,
We've got exactly the same selection up here in NY. They've got a better selection of razor and sheetrock knives than pocket knives, which is pretty sad if you ask me.

Yes, about the only place you can find any type of knives is at a Kmart if you still have one in your area, Home Depot still has a good selection of Case etc.. around here. Of course there is always walmart. Lowes has just about finished. I get lucky with the local stores around here more than the big box retailers.

I love the X-Timer series. I have been looking for a red one for a long time now, but have never saw one. Thanks for the pic, I was beginning to think they did not exist.

You know of course that these are "one-year-wonders", right? 6OTX 2003, 7OTX 2004. Larry Vickery showed me one first. They aren't real abundent.

You are really cooking with that camera now! Good pictures!

I did not know they were only made for one year. When I first started collecting Schrades in late 2004 I started with what they had just produced and went from there. I have completed several collections of Schrades that were made after 2002. As far as the pictures go, I have around 400 Schrades I need to photograph and post. I am hoping I get to post photos of a 144UH and a 13OT.

Yes - the 70TX had a slightly different shape to the blade and thumbstuds rather than a thumbdisc IIRC.

It is an Olympus SP-510UZ. 7.1 megapixel, 10x optical zoom lens. I love this camera. I paid $269.00 for it at Circuit City. You can get it cheaper over the net.
