Tried doing a search & nothing came up, and I was wondering if there is a list somewhere of the various knives used in science fiction in particular, but in movies & TV in general.
I know there's the Internet Movie Firearms Database http://www.imfdb.org/wiki/Main_Page and I was thinking something along those lines.
Here's what I got so far:
There's the United Cutlery Phoenix knife used in Star Trek, mainly by Klingons. saw it in a movie somewhere too.
I'm convinced that the Tom Anderson Dakar dagger was used in Star Trek Enterprise by the Terran Empire.
I'm pretty sure that some of Hibben's designs were used in the franchise.
In the Battlestar Galactica remake "Razor" movie(?) the captain had a folding knife that looks a lot to me like one of Boker's.
In Stargate SG1 the Jaffa used the Hibben Double Shadow. I also saw in some of the episodes a kind of reverse Klingon bat'leth as wall hangers. The same blade was used in Chronicles of Riddick when Dame Vaako was questioning the Elemental. I've seen these for sale.
Of course, there's the several Rambo knives.
There's been replicas made of the "V for Vendetta" knife.
Come to think of it, I'm guessing that the movie "Machete" used some off the shelf blades, but I haven't watched it.
In the video game Alice, she uses a fancy kitchen knife; of which replicas have been produced.
In the TV show "Psych", Shawn Spencer's Swiss Army knife (Victorinox ot Wenger?) came in handy at least once
