Looking for a scope for my Marlin 1894 .44. It's come down to the Redfield Revolution 2-7x33

Any suggestions or recommendations? The eyes ain't what they use to be.

I have the Weaver 1-3x20 on a Marlin in .45 Colt and like the combination. Out to 100 yards it is fast and accurate.

With the 45-70's rainbow trajectory, either would be probably be fine but check the eye RELIEF...or carry Band-aids.

I have a Marbles aperture tang sight on mine...OK for shooting STEEL buffalo at 200 yards but that is limit..for me anyhow. Most really long range 45-70 Sharps shooters use vernier-style sights which while expensive and look kind of fragile to me, sure work for them.

You're welcome but it would help IF I actually READ...how I got 45-70 out of .44 is a mystery to me. Recommendation pretty much the same except eye review less of an issue.
