  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

The spyderhole seemed a bit rough so.... out comes some emery cloth, into the hole, round and round and, you guessed it, scratches around the spyderhole, in a nice radial pattern :0
It kinda bummed me out, even though it is a working knife, so I read some posts and decided to fix it.
Began with scotchbite, folowing the "grain" (across the blade), took most of the scratches out, I started feeling better. Found my dremel, had a small cone shaped abrasive bit, made a SLIGHT 45 degree bevel on the edge of the spyderhole, then took a soft cone with some white rouge, and smoothed it out, MAN! Nice and smooth - lookin' GOOD! I swear it opens easier now.
Feeling MUCH better, I started with a gray rouge, and then white. When I realized I was improving the FACTORY finish, I knew I was done.
I really like this knife, glad I can repair any damage.
Touched up the edge w/ my sharpmaker, ready to go! Waiting on my militec sample : ) I have learned so much from you all, I could hardly sharpen before, thanks!!!
