Dog has made a few scratches in a leather sofa, brownish color. What would you do to disquise them, brown shoe polish, and if not that, suggestions?

We had the same problem at our house with a leather chair and the cats. Chair was a very light bone color - used neutral shoe polish and some mink oil - worked pretty good!

I bought a 3 pack stain marker kit at a dept. store for a couple bucks. They are for this very problem. They work great, light, med, and dark.

Min wax also makes stain markers. They come are sold individually, 4 bucks for one, but they offer a lot more color choices.

Shoe polish should work just fine if you try to match the color best you can. You can also use Old English scratch cover. Available at wally world and the like.

Wolly leather cream in neutral shade would buff out any marks. It is the best leather cream i have ever come across.

Is there any way to patch a small hole in a leather couch before it gets big enough to be a problem? I've got one that looks like the dog's nail poked a small hole about this "0" big or a tiny bit bigger.

Oops, I read your post but it didn't register. I immediately thought of the wood being scratched, as my dogs did a number on some of my furniture. But upon re-reading your post, I now see that you were referring to the leather.:o

If you get scratches in the wood of your furniture, then my previous post is relevant.:D
