hey everyone, I'm trying to clean my kershaw link and I was able to take out the pivot screw and two of the three handle screws. I can't get the third one out. The screw is inset into the handle so I can pry it out, gravity had no luck, a super strong magnet didn't work...starting to run out of options. And I cant put it back together because the washers and the blade came out. Any suggestions?

try heating up the screw with a soldering iron if you have one, maybe theres some kind of Loctite bogging down the screw. I had a similar problem and the iron melted the Loctite, just try to put the screw back in and out a few times to clear the thread,or it will harden up and it will block the threads from the screw going in.

i dont own a link. is it a back spacer or standoffs? its only one screw right? or both screws on both sides? where im going with this is can you hold the torq screw still and rotate the other scale to free it or use two torq drivers and free them that way?

The Link only has one set of screws, the other side is flanged.
J JDX , have you tried to bind the flanged side with a piece of rubber pressing against it ? I've had luck using a pencil eraser also.
If you don't have a soldering iron, I've read that putting it in boiling water for a few minutes will soften the loctite.

Can you take out all the other screws and apply lateral pressure to the scales. Or lift up the top scale to put some pressure on the screw while unscrewing?

I was thinking the same thing. This should help. Or put a slot on the back side to get a flat head screw driver on the none screw side

If all else fails put s drop of super glue in the screw head and glue the bit to the head. Leave it overnight and unscrew while pulling.

This works. If it is loctite, it should help loosen it up.

might try putting acetone (nail polish remover) on a q-tip and soak the screw so that the acetone gets down into the threads. Acetone will dissolve loctite (superglue) very easily.
