I think you might be on the wrong forum?

Unless the sea axe was an older HI model?
SLAP! Jeb?!?!?!? Wake up! I think he means Seax.:p

Mine is 14" oal. WIth 9" of that being blade.
The blade is 1-3/4" at the widest point. And it weighs an ounce over 1 pound.
Blade is about 1/4" thick.
That's about it. Pretty nice knife, or I should say, "Me Likey!":D

ouch

As long as he doesnt want a 30" AK.
And what was that you were saying about giving something up as soon as something new comes along you want more? :p ;)

how far away is Jacksonville?

I'll show ya one. ;)

I was going to crack a lame joke about the sea ax being the stainless version of the famed land axe, issued to naval forces, but decided against it.

Actually, I kind of wound up doing it anyway. Ten thousand starving comedians in America and I try to be a funny man. Go figure.

How about a 30" seax?

Approximate translation: big freakin' knife.

Anyway, that's what the translation should be. I'll rank that with the kora as HI products that I really don't need, probably have no use for, and would purchase in a heartbeat.

Scroll down to the bottom of the first page and 3rd from the bottom is a thread titled as above. It may have been pushed down onto page two. Anyway click on that thread and wait for the pictures to load. A seax is shown there. Kapiche?

BTW - welcome to the Cantina.

The "broken-back" seax on the listed thread is spec'd as being 14" overall length, and as weighing 18 ounces.

Say "seax on" fast several times and it end up sounding like Saxon - which is one of the three Germanic tribes, so I've been told. Vikings, Norsemen, Danes, Saxons.

I'm getting a ladies Trefoil brooch from that link, yoiparri....

Phil - it's "Sax"

I tested it last night and it worked. I however did just edit it because it took me to "Mesopotamian cylinder seals". I wonder if the links change over there. If so then I will probably just remove the link or something.

  Three?

I don,t know where you are Dan(Daniel?), but Jax is about 20 min north of little rock.

O.K. fine what are the specs on that big freakin knife?

sheees, commodieans

going to the knife show in Little Rock next weekend. I'll be there. I can bring one with me.

Otherwise, do a search on this forum for "seax" & "scramasax" and you'll see the history of the H.I. Seax - a very pointy knife. :D
