At the recommendation of one of my favorite dealers, I received a sample tube of Seal1 CLP Plus. I've been using Quick Release to lubricate my knives for several years now and I wasn't really looking to try a new lubricant but I thought it wouldn't hurt to try it out since the sample was free and I was buying a knife anyway.

I'm just getting my feet wet with this stuff but so far I'm impressed. I used it on an old stockman knife that had gritty action and poor snap. After just one application the action on all three blades is buttery smooth and the snap is better than I thought it ever could be on that knife.

Just in case that was a fluke, I tried it on another single blade knife that had the same problems. Not a fluke. In my experience, had I used Quick Release instead, it would have improved the action and the snap but not at this level.

Based on the reviews that I've read and the videos that I've watched, Seal1 is designed primarily for gun cleaning and to make future cleanings much easier but it also appears to be a fantastic lubricant. Better than any other lubricant that I've tried in the past.

Anybody else tried this stuff? If so, what did you think?

Better than quick release? I put it in my wishlist, I'll eventually try it out. Thanks for the recommendation.
