I haven't see anything here about this survival magazine. I didn't find about it until last July, and bought all of the original ones, as well as the current subscription.

I think it's one of the better "survival" magazines..., for me, better than Backwoodsman or Backwoods Home (that one isn't really a "survival" magazine..., more "pioneer" stuff)

Anyway, there's been several topics about the several older survival magazines that came and gone, so I figured some of you might want to know about this. I like this magazine pretty well. Seems to be a Dave Canterbury / Pathfinder Schools magazine, though Canterbury isn't in these magazine much. Seems to be mostly regular writers who actually "like" survival/bushcraft stuff. :D

Oddly enough, the only way I found about it was when I bought a machete from Blind Horse Knives

I have all five issues so far, the premier and then 1-4. I have enjoyed them all. All have had some good reading in them and I liked the piece Steve Davis did in memory of Ron Hood in the last issue. A few members from here are regular writers for the mag such as one of our mods Joezilla and Brian Andrews. Brian did a really good article on dealing with declination in the last issue too.

Same here, I bought the Premier issue as well as issue #1 awhile back then quickly subscribed. I took the back issues to a custom knife maker buddy of mine and then he subscribed. I love this magazine. They don't cater to any one particular sponsor/advertiser, the articles aren't extravagantly worded and the topics are local.

Thanks for the heads up. Looks good. Have just ordered all back issues.

I'll be interested to see just how much of the wisdom applies to conditions here in Australia.

Its a fun magazine to write for. I'm liking where it is heading.
