I have a Alaskan Guide 110 that I'm thinking of sending into Buck for the free sharpening. How do I go about it?

Thanks,

Chad

The original paperwork should have instructions but if not, go to the Buck website, get the addy, pack it with a note of what you want done and send it care of warranty dept.

Thanks, the knife I want to send in was a display model so I don't have the box and I'm not sure where my other Alaskan guide knife box is so I'll get the address online.

Thanks,

Chad

The fact that it is an AG entitles it to free sharpening. You don't need the original box, paperwork, etc. Just send it in with instructions to sharpen.

The sharpening service is good for a very dull blade. It's a big time saver. I do light sharpening and touch-up myself, but the free service is great when you've dulled your knife and want it to return to a factory edge.

I figured that it having a black blade and the decal would prove to Buck that it came from Cabelas. :)

 Especially with S30V :D

Chad, I've been interested in that service too . Let us know how it goes when its returned . DM

Just a reminder to use BKI instead of Buck Knives in the 'send to' address. It lessens the temptations of the carriers. ;)

I've never done that. But I do make sure it is well insured.

As for the particulars of the service, there's not much to say about it. You send in the knife and a couple weeks later you get it back with a new looking sharp edge. I did it once for an AG 110. They may polish it up if it looks like it needs it.

It may take longer this time of year for the turn around.

I do the BKI as well . I can see why someone would send in a S30V blade for sharpening . DM
