I just got the word that Eddie White of Shadow knives had finished my knife. His wife was handling the emails and such and she sent me a few pictures of it and it is STUNNING. Does anyone else have any experience with Mr. White and his work? I must say though that their customer service and communication is TOP NOTCH and I highly recommend them.

You wont find 2 better people to deal with than Eddie and Lora. Here is my favorite Shadowknife so far. I just pick a large Model IX last week at a show they were attending. No pics of it yet. Please post pics when you receive yours.

I will try to post pictures of the knife when it gets here. Can someone help me out on how I post pictures here?

I got an e-mail from him today that mine is finished as well. He made a "camp kitchen" knife based on a large model IX but with a different blade profile to make it easier to keep my knuckle off the cutting board. I have a regular model IX that is really sweet. He does some great work at a really reasonable price.

Ferrethawk -- Yeah I've heard Eddie is crazy good with his grinds. I'll have to wait and see when it gets here.

Esav -- Thanks for the help.

Mike -- Yeah I saw that orange G-10 handled Model IX on picsaweb from Eddie's posts when I was checking mine. Those are indeed some sexy knives you've got there:thumbup:

I got one of the first model IX's that came out, s/n 004 in green canvas. It is a masterpiece of simplicity and functionality! You don't often find knives so well made - and definitely made for using - at such a decent price.

This is one of Eddie's pics from when he started putting 'em up for sale a few years ago:
