I have been looking at the Shadow Tech knives. They have some great offers, but the one that caught my eye is the new Alpha. Did anyone that went to Blade get a chance to see it? 1/4" 1095 10' OL. It comes with or without the saw booth spine.
The only pic I have is the one John from STK sent me.......

Does anyone own a Shadow Tech? Looking at their website they seem to make something for everyone.

If I carried fixed blades, I would definitely be interested.

I have talked to the owner a bunch of times, and he is super cool. I would recommend the XHP models, because they are limited and about the same price as the 1095 ones. If I was big into fixed blades, I would have more than just the Dayhiker of theirs.

Here is a good pic of an Alpha drop point with the saw tooth spine. I ordered the non saw back drop point Alpha. I will post better pics when it arrives!!!

Best part is -- 100% USA made on the fixed blades including all the parts in the sheath. 100% no questions asked warranty.

I have a few of them, including a 9 inch ranger tanto. They are thick and beefy knives. I really haven't used them, just got them hanging out in the box.

I see a backup in my future. 1095 is my favorite steel and I like their no BS designs along with affordable pricing for what you get.

I also have one of the XL backup bowies. It feels good in the hand as a skinner.

Also the kydex that comes with these knives are hefty and well built.

I received my Alpha in the mail today. I was thinking it would be just like a BK2, but I was wrong. It has similar specs to the Becker - about 10" of 1/4" 1095 without the bulky feel.
I have to get some pics after the storm.

I found this thread from several years ago, I’m trying to find out what’s going on with the company. Their web site has been down for a few months, last post on their Facebook page is a year old. Did they close up shop?

Yeah - it seems like they’re gone, but there are still some shops selling the last of their stock if you look around.

Also just FYI, the folks here frown on reanimated threads (honestly not really sure why).

Generally if the thread you’re interested in is over a year old or so it’s better to just start a new one rather than reply to the old one.

Cheers.

Shadow Tech has closed shop. I've been good friends with the guys that started it since back before they started production. For those that are from the Columbus area, they originally had a store front.... JD KNIVES.
As of recent... They're retired from knife making and moving to Florida
Great guys!
