Anyone ever tried this? i lol'd at the thought of it, but I think I'm gonna take one of my spoons and sharpen it and make it the centerpiece of my collection haha.

That would sure be a nasty joke to give someone a sharp spoon for their soup...

Anyone else ever thought of/tried this?

hehe I'd probably use it just like a knife to see the reaction I'd get from sheeple. Of course I wouldn't use it as a spoon; I like the width of my mouth as-is! lol

I find a sharpened fork more practical. I sharpen the far right end of some of mine, so they slice more effectively. I've had a habit of using a fork to cut things that aren't very difficult to cut, such as real tender meats, so this was just logical.

There was a thread a while back about prison shivs. One of them was a sharpened spoon. I just eat with a Sebenza. I hate it when I cut the corner of my mouth though.:)

lol. You're lucky; you have a Sebenza. I'm jealous. :D

I usually EDC my cheap $20 Butterfly knife because I don't care what happens to it. I actually ate some ice cream with it. Mainly because the ice cream was hard, but still, that sharpened spoon woulda come in handy then!

Ummm... if I were to sharpen the common stainless steel spoon, what should I go about sharpening it with? I realize that it might be kinda difficult to sharpen with a rod, so I'm not entirely sure as that's all I have. I wonder how a sharpmaker would work... lol

I passed it up myself. I normally eat with one of my two titanium sporks, though. :)

The Super Spork is part of a mess kit also, made in Finland. I've seen it in other catalogs in various colors like blue, green, and red. County Comm sells the kit in OD & gray. Not real appetizing!

I once sharpened a spoon for jack-o-lantern duties. Used a file and a few minutes of elbow grease. It did a better job at scraping out all the gunk from inside the pumpkin.

Speaking of jack-o-lanterns, the best tool ever for making your initial cut (or carving the entire pumpkin if you're so inclined) is a skil-saw. I once carved an entire pumkin in under 2 minutes using a skil-saw. Just thought I'd mention it.

Knork. Knork, knork, knork. Sounds like a retard laughing. The site http://www.knork.net/ is retarded, lousy contrast on the home page, slow loading. Then I got a pop-up on a security problem. I don't like that, I shut it down.
