  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

What would you recommand for a good sharpener that won't break the bank, i'm not intrested in spyderco sharpmakers or the sharpeners allong those lines.. more like an edgepro apex but that ones to expensive :(

I have some DMT Dual sided stones for free hand sharpening. I also like paper wheels, if you have a bench grinder they are not expensive at all.

Try the DMT Aligner or DMT Magna Guide. These are guided systems, along the lines of the Edge Pro, but for less than half the price. Great system, great bang for the buck.

+1 for DMT.

The DMT Aligner Deluxe can be had for around $42. It includes one set of clamps, 3 diamond stones, and 1 diamond rod (for serrated edge). The system will get your knives sharp enough to shave hair from your arm. If that's not enough, there are 2 coarse stones to speed up the process, 2 fine stones to increase the sharpness, and 1 convex stone for recurved edge.
