Shave your head? Ever tried cryogenic razors?

Interesting. I thought that some razor blades were already cryogenically tempered? Can't remember the brand though.

I've always used my razors first to shave facial hair, then I'd use the ones that have gotten too dull for that to shave my head. I use a Mach III, by the way. Regular, not Turbo, because the Turbo is more expensive just for that puny little strip of gel.

Mach III here, too. Use the same one for head and face till it's dull and needs changin'.

Didn't know some already are cryogenic. Anyone know which ones?

I think cryo has been used for a long time for razors but rarely mentioned. Now that it's the latest fad they hype it up .

It's definitely NOT a hype. I've been using the cryo'ed Mach 3's from www.greatrazors.com for over four months and have been averaging 21 days per blade re: shaving. I liked 'em so much, I gave away a few to good friends who also use the Mach 3 and they are just as enthusiastic.

For 40% more inc. shipping than standard Mach 3 blades from Costco, I receive two to three times as many shaves. Closer and more comfortable shaves as well.

This is NO gimmick or hype. Cryo engineering and deep freezing in nitrogen to -300 degrees not only tempers and conditions the blade, it makes the blade cut, not get jagged and extends the longevity by a lot.

Cryo'ed blades are slowly brought down to and up from -300 degrees in a nitrogen 24 hr. process.

I doubt that most home freezers can do that! :) Mine can't and my vodka is still like a syrup.
