Hello BladeForums. This is my first post.
I am a fan of Case Knives, and have been for a while. I live in Texas, and wear jeans a good portion of the year. I'd like an open top belt sheath, like the one in these links.

If you have had any experience with these sheaths, or those similar, I'd be quite grateful for your input. Also, if any of you have any other good companies that make the same style, or if I can make it myself, all input is welcomed.

I also am curious about the option of taking a 2 blade, full size trapper, and having Seals take off the Spey blade and back spring. If you have done so, will this knife still fit this sheath? I have a feeling it won't, however. Thanks, and God Bless from TX.

This is the link to Seals work. It looks great. http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/s...or-a-single-blade-Trapper-4-quot-closed/page2

Welcome to the forum! Come over to the Traditionals sub-forum sometime. I got a high-ride sheath from Mr Bullard a few years back that I gave to my brother for his full-size yeller trapper. Took a month or two, the price is great though. I remember it being very high quality leather work, great fit and retention, and I believe my brother has it to this day.

I think if you were to remove a layer from the knife it would be too slim for the sheath, as I believe they are molded to fit that exact knife (the fulls-size trapper with two blades.) That is not to say that Seals won't do a great job on whatever project you have in mind!

A cheaper option for a sheath is the Case soft leather trapper belt sheath which I myself have. Not as nice or secure as the Bullard but I think they're like $8.
