So i have my Dad's ka-bar from the late 60's, Camillus 7", and i still use it. I'm not sure how he got a 7" since he was air force. It stays in my garage and i use it occasionally and take care of it. It's in great condition, but the leather sheath is fairly worn and the strap is a little tattered. The base of the snap separated into it's two pieces with one piece still snapped onto the button and the other piece still embeddes in the leather.
Of i put a new snap on, it will look funny because the rest of the sheath is so worn and aged. Should i do it anyway and try to force a patina on the brass snap, or keep it the way it is?
