If you have a point of view on handgun locks, you may want to go here and vote:
http://www.vote.com/vote/6324261/

The vote is YES/NO on the question, "Should the State of Maryland Require Built-in locks on New Handguns?". All votes will be sent directly to Gov. Parris N. Glendening.

A humerous side of the pending legislation has reared it's embarrasing head (embarrasing for Maryland governer Glendening). Apparently some film was taken while he was showing how the gun lock is supposed to work. Well, he fumbled with it for about 2 minutes and couldn't get it unlocked. Hehehe

Now, the NRA is showing an ad with him fumbling around with the lock. He makes one of the strongest anti-lock arguments really come alive and in-your-face obvious. Hehehe

I loved watching him fumble around on the evening news. This is well-deserved embarrasment.

How sweet it is! Finally we get a good one on our side;(Md. gunowners & the NRA). You can bet it will be turned around, and shoved up our butts before it is over.

I agree, it was great seeing the Guv. fumbling with the gun on TV; and watching his Lt. Guv., Kathleen Kennedy Townsend, watching, grinning, and shaking her head.
Wonderful as long as it lasts.

Thanks for that last link Bob. That story was better than from other news sources.
