A Fontenille-Pataud Laguiole in buffalo horn. It's very nearly jet black, although in bright light some wisps of white or grey can be seen under the surface. Nice file-work on this one. The background is an antique oak "bijbelkist" (bible box) salvaged from an old convent; my wife bought it for me and it now houses a bunch of cool knives. Sorry for the dark photos...
