Show me your custom camp knife/chopper.

This has been mine for the last few years and now it's going back to Tad to get repolished and etched for the cabinet while I try out a Matt Lamey Bowie for some field work.

Old Ifugao pinahig bolo from the Luzon mountains - Philippines.

The original blade was 5'' longer and too heavier to be used easily with one arm during a long period. So I've shortened the blade (10'' long now).

If you go that short you will be wasting the rest of the steel!!:)

But its already going to be HEAVY and have a crazy point of balance as it is, so i figured the extra steel would be good for a nice little dashi. :D

Here are a couple of choppers I've made in the last couple of years.

3-v .227" I find this a little to light for this length and the handle a little thin I should have used 3/8" scales instead of 1/4"
