Show off your 15's

Great knife and very stressful story .

By the way I'm very impressed by the US post . They remain very efficient even in this terrible situation :)
In France "La Poste" remain as inefficient " as it was during the covid crisis but know without reason :D

Âchillepattada Âchillepattada Thanks and I'm delighted with the knife. What happened was the knife got stuck at Chicago for months and due to absence of passenger traffic the post didn't go out it seems:rolleyes:

Finnish Posti has turned from very good to dire in about 3 years: it's all been 'privatised' and it's profitable bits sold off to the big couriers (who are largely monopolists anyway) lots of personnel sacked, the remaining post staff have to mow lawns&do cleaning jobs on non delivery days-backlogs build up- Nearly ALL Post Offices in large cities have been closed and now you get a 'desk' in a grocery shop where the part-time staff are overworked and simply don't know much about postal matters:( One girl asked me where Iso Britania/Stor Britannia-the words for Great Britain or UK was, never seemed to have heard of the island:eek: I said London then she kind of lit up.....:(

glad to see it has arrived safely! usually post from us to europe can be iffy. I remember trying to mail some souvenir opinel keychains from amsterdam and it cost like 6 euro, 3 for the envelope. And as I walked outta the post office I thought huh whats the chance Ill see those again. About a month later after returning home from the trip it showed up and I was pleasantly surprised.

Sometimes, not often, dreams come true :D

At the end of November I sent off a 15 Spear to @jsdistin for improvements. The saga began and this was no fault of his or mine. After a week my PO returned the packet to me with NO explanation. it had not left the country. Back it goes but I think it took until FEB to arrive:eek: In the meantime Jeff & I had agreed on details, some fine Himalayan Ram's Horn was set aside and I asked for a Rat-Tail bolster. The slabs are thick as I like this on a smaller single-blade. Third week of March Jeff had finished up the work and his photos set the knife pulse racing, he sends it out 24 March.

Then COVID kicks in  The knife gets to Chicago and disappears into a maw. Weeks & months pass, no movement. I really feared it was a MIA-although I've NEVER had a parcel go missing from or to the USA, but nothing else has taken this long. Then it 'appears' in Helsinki 9th July!! Then it get's through my door 15th today (6 days from the capital? I don't live in a Lappish hut :D) All things come to those who wait eh? Yes. I'm really surprised to get it after all this time but I'm delighted with the finished product, it has a very aged look and the small Rat-Tail compliments the horn slabs. Superb workmanship from Jeff, custom level I have no hesitation in saying.

Return of the Native/ Prodigal Knife :D:thumbsup:

See, I told you it's gonna show up sooner or later! :D Looks mighty fine, great job!

I love the 15 pattern. I've been looking for a 15 with the spear point and long pull. If anyone has one they would part with, please let me know. Thanks.

Why ruin a good knife Jack? They made them with single blades! Besides all that, I got this one from Bob! ;)

i ask my self that every time i look in the edc box! i missed them almost every time they came up on the bay. Bob was a huge fan of modifying knives, especially 15s! :D
