The snap-down loop is tight on the Border Patrol grip, it works much better on my #1-7 with the standard stacked leather handle. It came with the knife and will serve my #1-7 well so no loss.
Bought this on eBay last weekend, read it last night, a very fun read. Not in the greatest condition but it's all intact, no rips or tears, this one is from the ninth printing dated January, 1954.
New To Me Model #1-7" with a stainless blade, nickel silver double hilt, standard shape mircarta handle, red/white/black spacers, Duralumin butt cap with flush nut, black model A sheath.
It gorgeous. Sweet stag, that one deep vein perfectly centered on the top of the handle shows how careful they are to position the stag just right. The nickel silver forward curved hilt and a nifty washer stack to compliment it all. Very nice! Thanks for the better look.
I just bought out an estate filled with blades.. Civil war stuff, modern knives and swords by Hibben, Maringer, Warenski, Bagwell, Fred Carter, WW Cronk, Rod Chappel, Randall, etc.
Hopefully, they will all find good homes, as will yours. Peace upon your blades!
