I hope I am not breaking any rules to post this, but I came across a site where one man has collected and studied sailors knives and rigging knives of different patterns. He also shares a bit about the history of these tools. :cool:

At the moment, I only have one knife that will qualify for inclusion to this thread. The above knife being my German made Otter Messer 'anchor knife'.

But... this one below is a picture of a knife I have coming my way this week. It's another "Anchor" type knife, but made in France. Black Buffalo Horn scales are the flavor on this one :-)
