I have done a search for a thread simaler to this but couldn't find one . so my apologies if their is one . the idea for this thread came from Gary ( 5k QS ) though I think he got me confused with somebody else

. I really like the look of Horn on a knife . in a little way I think it looks more exotic than bone . but this is just my opinion . I only have 4 in my collection at present . and I would love to see what you guys have

...
Thanks for starting the thread, R.c.s! :thumbup:
I don't think I had you confused with anyone else; I was going by quality, not quantity, of horn!

For some reason, certain horn-handled knives stick in my memory, and I remembered your LionSteel and Maserin (the 3rd one in your pics is a Maserin, right?), and your new Laguiole, and I'm pleased as punch to see them all pictured in one spot. (For some reason, I thought you had another marvelous horn knife, similar in color to the Maserin, but I may be mistaken. In fact, now I'm remembering that I complimented you on a fantastic "horn" knife, and you thanked me but said it was actually bone. Maybe that's the other one I thought you had.

)
I was also hoping to "lure" some other favorites of mine out into the open so I could enjoy them again!

Seeing Jack's luminescent ox horn every now and then always boosts my spirits, and your thread "caught" that one. Dadpool's recently-returned to him feathered buffalo horn Tuna Valley is another classic, in my mind, as are black mamba's fine ram's horn specimens, of which my personal favorite is probably that Owl Head sowbelly!

:thumbup::thumbup: And bozack has posted a heavenly handful of horn, too; very impressive! Now if the thread can just capture a glimpse of a rapturous Ruple that Cory Hess has...
I have 3 knives with horn handles.
