Or “trucker suspenders.” I have seen these on line, but no local shops seem to carry them. Look like they would work especially well when I am wearing a belt load of stuff. Anybody wear these regularly? Any particular recommendations as to brand? Thanks!

I haven't worn suspenders in years, my last bartending gig I used to wear them and a bow tie... anyways I got mine from Amazon, what would be cool is if you could get one of the leather workers over in sheaths section to make one for you, would be pretty cool to have your light or a small EDC sheath integrated into one...

EDIT: mine weren't the "trucker" "side" style you were asking about mine were the traditional front/back style.

The ones from Duluth do look nice with one serious problem: I just called and found that Duluth Trading is one of those outfits that base shipping cost on the price of the item, not weight. Result: they want to charge almost 50% of this item cost for shipping. In this case I think he quoted the cost as being the same for anything selling for $20- $40. So if instead of weighting 10 ounces, my order happened to weigh 10 pounds, they would still charge me the same $9.00.

Totally stupid, IMHO. Too bad on account of the suspenders did look nice.............

HSGI makes great suspenders, with shock cord as part of the design, that wrap around your belt.

I like suspenders and wear them daily. However, I am picky and haven't found a good pair I like. Same with pants. All pants sucks IMHO. The suspenders that go around your belt will not work if you're not wearing a belt, obviously. You may want your belt off for one reason or another. As for the trucker style, they are far more comfortable when siting down for long periods of time. You can sleep in them and they won't dig into your back. Good luck on your search.
