I have a Buck 290 that has been signed by Sara Buck and CJ Buck 06. It is used but has not been sharpened as best I can tell. Can someone tell me what this is worth today? Thanks, Rich

I will post pictures of the knife when my daughter gets home with her camera, probably tomorrow. I don't know where, when or why the knife was signed. However, it does have the Idaho stamp on it so perhaps it was to commorate Buck moving to Idaho? I read an ad about another knife that was signed at a knife show in Idaho for that reason. I am not an expert, but it was obvious that the signatures on my knife are authentic when I compared them to the other knives online I saw with Sara and CJ Buck signatures.

I bought the knife online from an airport confiscation broker who sells on E-Bay. It was not very expensive and didn't say anything about the signatures. I was very pleasantly surprised, of course. Thank you for your response.

Sincerely,

Rich

The potato state stamp reflects a 2005 year of mfg.

Scroll down to the bottom of this link and you will find the diff
date stamps used: http://www.buckknives.com/collectors_vintage.php

As for value, depends on condition. New, I'm guessing +$40
With the signatures, guess it depends on who the buyer is. In other words..."dunno".
Your mileage may vary.

Thanks for the response! The signatures (Sara and CJ Buck) are accompanied by "06", so that is when the knife was signed. And I mispoke: The seller of the knife did say that the knife was signed; however, it was in such a small part of the ad that I didn't notice it until I looked at it again last evening. I'm really not looking to sell it, but I'm just curious of the value. I paid $21.00 and am very happy with my purchase. It's neat to have a signed knife even though I'm not a collector.

Again, Thanks for the answer.
