Simonds brand files any good ?

Simonds are the only files I use and I have close to 40 of them. The Nu-kut tooth pattern is very aggresive but leaves a great finish. You can go right to a finish file then start sanding.

I work only five minutes away from a tool and fastener store that carries the entire Simonds line. They are twice as expensive as Nicholson but last many times longer.
 
Are you using them to file stuff, or are you going to make knives out of them?

These are brand new, 10-inch red tip bastard files. A lady at work was trying to get rid of some of her ex-husbands tools and I got them.

Maybe I ought to give her some $ for them at least since it turns out they are good ones.

I'm gonna use them to try knifemaking thing .
 
They are crap, send em to me and I will dispose of them for you :D .


Seriously though, Simmonds are pretty good files, great score! if they are all the same, if you are willing to part with some shoot me an email please Angus.
