I am trying to determine what size security torx I need to so that I can work on my own leatherman. I have several leatherman chrage ti's, its a six (6) star bit, but I don't what size, I think its either 10 or 11, but I can't find a size 11 sec torx anywhere.

Anyone know exactly what size, please let me know.

Thanks in advance

Torx 11 doesn't exist so it is probably T10. You can always try one the next time you're at the hardware store. You piqued my curiosity so I poked around: Torx goes from T1-T10 and then in increments of 5 up to T60 and then in increments of 10 up to T100. There seem to be two exceptions: one missing (T35 doesn't seem to exist, huh?) and one added (T27, double huh?). Wiha's site has some good info: http://www.wihatools.com/Marketing/torxspec.htm. The six lobed torx with the center post are called Security Torx or Tamper Resistant Torx. The six lobed security bits are pretty easy to find anywhere.

For the Leatherman Charge (not AL or ALX models) it is a size 10 torx security bit (may also be known as a tamperproof bit).

I used several reg. torx I had and the closet one seemed to be 10, but it still seems small, perhaps the sec. torx is slightly different in size from the reg torx 10. So I was going to go to 15 if necessary. I also did some looking around and your right torx come from 1 through 10 and then in increments of 5 only.

Thanks for the help
