Skeletool vs skeletool cx for edc

Im looking for a multitool and have narrowed it down to these 2, but i cant decide if its worth it for the better 154m steel and the plain edge on the cx vs the combo blade and 420hc steel on the original.


BTW, usage would be mainly as an edc knife and skate tool, aswell as a backpacking tool/knife.
 
If price is not an issue, I would get the plain edge in a heartbeat. However, the blade is long enough to be usable if you go with the semiserrated edge.
 
Definitely worth it. On two bladed models I like having the option of a serrated utility blade, but with only one blade a plain edge is much more useful. If this will also be the only knife blade you have on you then the upgraded steel will be worth it also.
 
i have both the Skeletool and the Skeletool cx and i prefer the Skeletool it was less expensive the than the cx model and i felt it was much sturdier than the cx model.
