Skookum Bush Tool

Huh. I was ghosted several years ago. I wonder if somehow he'll discover my name on the cutting room floor and contact me. Heh, doubtful.

I never understood the the cult following or the price of those knives?--KV
They were designed by a modern day survival/bushcraft legend (recently deceased). That right there makes people think they are the most perfect tool ever invented because Mors could do a ton of work with that knife. He did a ton of the same work with a bunch of other knives too, but this one is the one he felt was most 'perfect' (or something).

Aside from that it's a nicely shaped boutique knife that makes people feel like they can do all the things Mors could do because they have the same tool.

How does that work with just a couple of small changes?

Hey that's pretty cool, like a curvy puukko.

Glad your knife showed up.

Interesting placement of the lanyard hole. Is it moved toward the middle of knife for a reason?

I'm not sure there is a need to bash the OP with snarky remarks. I don't know the guy but c'mon.

On the knife. Not for me personally. It is beautiful and looks to be well executed with clean lines and nice finishes. But, it doesn't strike me as anything special compared to most puukko style knives with scandi grinds with Finnish or Scandinavian origins.

A2 and 01 steels offered at $210.00 and 3V for $230.00. Seems a little pricey to me for what you get, and there are definitely similar knives out there that will perform just as well for much less money. The new Benchmade Puukko is made here in the U.S., is CPM-3V and is only $123.00.
Then again, I'd love to own a Fallkniven Juni which is way overpriced and arguably, very limited in it's uses as a fixed blade. Just my $.02, YMMV.

Here is a video with info on the thoughts behind the knife from both Mora Kochanski and Rod Garcia, who makes the knife.

Compared with what makers of similar knives charge, I don't find the price at all outrageous.

Wether the knife is worth waiting for and paying for, must come down to personal preference.

One thing is for sure, this knife won't do anything, that a multitude of similar knives will do.
But some like the history behind it, and that may just be enough for those.
