After work today I decided to make a blank for another Skyhawk Bolo………then four more Looking forward to seeing them finished up! Hopefully soon but I can be fickle with these things. When they’re ready I’ll be posting them up in the Knifemakers For Sale section

blades aren’t the only things to cut out! Handles will be required too Green and Natural canvas Micarta for these bolos!

Well it’s my day off. Might as well go to work! Got em descaled, surfaced, stamped, roughed in the bevels, and only two left to heat treat tomorrow

Have you considered doing one of these with a clip point/swedge? Would definitely be more work but aesthetically it would pop. With that said these already have my attention as is.

I was thinking about a clip point too but not in this run. There was a design Frank Vought used to make called the Swampmaster. Similar concept and size with a long clip. I may explore the idea after these are done.

The last of the fun and fast work is done! The epoxy is cured and the tubes flared. Handles and bevels are all roughed in. Now the finishing begins!

Getting closer!!! The handles need to be sanded and the bevels are ready for finish grinding! Hopefully I’ll get these done by end of next week and then make sheaths. I’ll post a heads up before they get posted for sale

I’ve not posted any specs yet as I prefer to hold off specifics until completion but I’m close enough to say these are roughly 15in overall with 10in blades of 1/4in 5160.
